Enough is enough, micropreneurs & paul Rudd
We’ve been thinking a lot about the concept of “enough” lately. In a world where we’re often told that more = better, it can be hard to determine what “enough” actually looks like.
Add working for yourself into the mix, and it gets even more complicated.
Am I working enough?
Do I have enough clients?
Am I charging enough?
Is my offer good enough?
Am I good enough?
Oh, and this fun one: If I do have enough, shouldn’t I feel guilty for wanting more?
It can feel like a no-win situation.
What's important to remember when you find yourself in this spiral is that "enough" is an ever-evolving concept. It's personal, geography specific, lifestage specific, even lifestyle specific. Enough of one thing sometimes has to be balanced with enough of the other - for example, "would I rather have enough money or enough time?"
It's ok to be conflicted and even change your mind about what is "enough." One thing we know for sure - and it's why we started Weak Ties/Strong Bonds - is that having a community who struggles with the same idea can be a valuable sounding board and a check on some of our more self-destructive inner dialogues. We see you, we're here for you. 💕
Things we’re definitely not conflicted about? Happy micropreneurs, tiny desks, twerking elephants, and pep talks from Paul Rudd. Scroll down for our faves of the week.
